2024 Senior Mixed Bonspiel, December 2024
The Abbotsford Senior mixed league hosted their annual Jingle Bell Rocks Bonspiel on December 6, 7 and 8. Twenty-four teams from Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Mission, Quesnel and Portland enjoyed the friendly competition on great ice.
The event concluded with a great Sunday noon luncheon where many prizes were awarded for 50/50 draws, raffle ticket draws and a Silent Auction. The Hog the Rock award winner received a unique work of art from Knotty Girl Wood Art. The silent auction saw many potential Christmas gifts leaving the room. In all the event was very successful and the organizing group received many accolades.
The organizing group wants to thank the Bonspiel sponsors: Kitchen Magic, Fountain Tire, Koa Tree Services, Hear Right Canadaand The Human Dignity Project. We also thank the nine businesses who donated to the bonspiel:
Their support was greatly appreciated and contributed to another very successful bonspiel.
We all look forward to next year’s bonspiel!
“The inaugural year of our Abby Junior Interclub play has been a huge success. For our second game, we hosted the Chilliwack Juniors on January 11th, with a total of 40 kids participating in the game. All had a great time and after the games they went upstairs to enjoy a pizza lunch which is always a big hit. With 3 games remaining for the juniors our next game at our club is on February 1st at 9AM, the final wind-up bonspiel is at Chilliwack on March 1st . The future is exciting for our junior program at the club. A big thank you to ACC for hosting and all the coaches and parents who help make this a success.”
Bill Broadfoot (Coordinator)
