2023 Masters Bonspiel

Thank you to all our volunteers and curlers who made our 2023 Masters Bonspiel a success!

The Abbotsford Masters Curling Club hosted their annual bonspiel on Nov. 10, 11 and 12. 22 teams, 11 club teams from Abbotsford and 11 teams from various area clubs, competed in the 3 day event.

Each team played five game seeking a share of the prize money. Team Hockley from Chilliwack defeated Team Clarke from Langley to claim top prize and will have their names engraved on the Tony Durgin Shield. Team Olson from Mission won the Blackwood Sure Shot event earning them a cool $100.

The event concluded with a great Sunday luncheon. Our thanks to our sponsor, Blackwood Building Supplies.

Teachers and Teamsters

The Abbotsford Curling Club hosted some Teachers & Teamsters for a Saturday morning Team Building exercise. Many of the teachers wore costumes but the drivers and non-teaching union members came dressed for work. It was a very successful event on and off the ice! We welcome other corporate groups for a similar session.

PCMCA 80+ Men’s Curling Event

These handsome gentlemen (left to right) – George Peary, Jim Gordon, Charlie Lindsay, and Paul Pike represented the Abbotsford Curling Club at the Pacific Coast Men’s Curling Association 80+ Bonspiel on February 18 & 19 at the Mission Granite Curling Club.

The team did not finish in the money, but did win the Congeniality Competition. The men were good losers and the old geezers had fun!
